FSC is a global certification that promotes responsible and sustainable forestry and the wood industry worldwide. Caring for the environment and nature’s resources is important to us. By maintaining the high standards of the certification, we help preserve the forest’s biodiversity, protect indigenous peoples, safeguard workers’ rights, and promote economic development in rural areas. With FSC-certified products, we contribute to ensuring that forests are preserved and used sustainably for the benefit of future generations.

Sustainability/Environment
Svensson & Linnér continuously strives to improve in the areas of environment and sustainability. Globally, deforestation accounts for up to 15% of greenhouse gas emissions. Therefore, we want to ensure that the wood raw materials we use come from responsible and sustainable forestry practices. Our suppliers are carefully vetted, and we use wood that is sourced solely from sustainable forestry, creating products that last for generations.
We are committed to continuous improvement and regularly replace components with more environmentally friendly alternatives. Globally, approximately 6 million tons of waste are generated daily, and to help reduce this, we sort our waste. All scrap material is recycled and converted into energy for our production, while other materials are sorted for recycling.
Our staff is continuously trained to take natural responsibility for environmental efforts. Safety and a good working environment are of the highest priority, and we address this systematically through established processes and regular inspections.
We adhere to all relevant legislation and requirements for each situation.
EUDR
The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) is a new legislation that will come into effect on January 1, 2026. The purpose of this regulation is to prevent the purchase, use, and consumption within the EU that contributes to deforestation and forest degradation, both within the EU and globally. Our preparatory work is underway and will be completed in time for its implementation.
